Maître Jean is admitted to the Port-au-Prince Bar and has been in legal practice for over 20 years. He is certified in Public Procurement Law, International Arbitration, mediation in business transactions, Accountant, Specialist, Research worker in Population & Development Sciences. Maître Jean is also trained and certified in Alternative Modes of Conflict Resolution by ICC, CMAP, AAA, International Lawyers Project (ISLP), Harvard Kennedy School and SETTYM International.

He has been an Arbitrator and Mediator affiliated to Chambre de Conciliation et d’Arbitrage d’Haiti (CCAH) since 2011. At present, Maître Jean is serving a six years term on the Panel of International Centre for Settlement Investment Dispute (ICSID) Arbitrators and Mediators on behalf of Haiti.

Maître Jean has extensive experience in business law, and has held political positions, such as Secretary of State for the Judicial Reform in Haiti for over 3 years. He has also been Legal Adviser to the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes, and Lawyer Consultant for Contracts Procurement Construction Projects. Maître Jean has also been appointed Haiti’s National expert for IDB in the evaluation of the national procurement system. Maître Jean has represented clients in public and private sectors and has acted as an expert in IDB and ILO projects.
