Irma Rivera-Ramirez

Ms Irma Rivera-Ramirez, LL.B., LL.M.

Ms. Rivera-Ramirez is a partner with Brigard & Urrutia, Member of the Faculty of the Law School of the Sergio Arboleda University, and a Professor for various graduate programmes in Domestic and International Arbitration. She is based in Colombia, and is an alumnus of Sergio Arboleda Universit, and the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario University. She has been recently named among the Best Lawyers in the first Latin American edition of Legal 500 published by Chambers and Partners.

Ms Rivera-Ramirez has been counsel to national and foreign clients in complex litigation before National Courts and Arbitration Tribunals. She has also been regularly appointed as Arbitrator and as Secretary in Arbitration proceedings before the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá. Ms Rivera-Ramirez is listed in the A list of Arbitrators of the Bogota Centre, and is a member of the Litigation, Arbitration, Insolvency, Insurance and Reinsurance practice areas. She is as well a Member to the Arbitration Club of Spain, the Colombian Arbitration Committee, the Latin American Arbitration Association, and listed as Arbitrator by the Asociación de Exmagistrados de las Altas Cortes-Asomagíster (Former High Court Justices Association).
